Serangan psikologi terhadap Husam

Kesian, Dato' Husam Musa. Tidak henti-henti diserang dan ditohmah kerana hendak bertanding jawatan Timbalan Presiden PAS.

Selepas beberapa blog dan akhbar Utusan Malaysia digunakan untuk menyerang beliau, ada lagi cerita terbaru yang dilemparkan.

Husam mulls quitting PAS race amid intense attacks

KUALA LUMPUR, May 19 – Datuk Husam Musa may end up the first casualty in the intense rivalry between the conservative ulama and the more progressive Erdogan factions ahead of next month's party polls, with party insiders saying the PAS vice-president may pull out of the race for deputy presidency.

Husam, one of the leading lights of the Erdogans which consist mainly professionals who back stronger links with its Pakatan Rakyat (PR) partners, was expected to take on the incumbent conservative Nasharuddin Mat Isa along with Mohamad Sabu, another non-ulama.

The contest has sparked controversy especially among the ulama ranks who are concerned religious scholars were losing their hold on the party, and have even gone as far as to contend that the top two party posts should be held by ulama.

Personal attacks has intensified recently against Husam, who has qualified to contest the deputy presidency, prompting him to consider quitting the race.

“He is also considering not defending his vice-president's post if the situation continues. Out of frustration he will not contest any post,” said a source familiar with Husam’s campaign.

Since the start of the party divisional meetings last month, Husam has come under considerable attacks from the conservatives in an attempt to stop him from vying for the party’s No. 2 post.

A blog has also been set up to launch attacks against Husam.

A statement by the Dewan Ulama chief Datuk Mohamed Daud Iraqi last week alleging vote buying practice in the party election also appeared targeted at Husam.

The Malaysian Insider understands that the supporters of the Kelantan state executive councillor are disappointed that no action was taken against Daud after he testified before the management committee yesterday.

“Daud apologised to Husam and everyone in the meeting, but no action will be taken against him,” said the source.

At the Dewan Harian meeting yesterday where party president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang was briefed by several leaders on the allegation of vote buying, Daud was also grilled on why he did not make investigations before making the claims.

Meanwhile Rantau Panjang PAS chief Abdul Fatah Haron, who had nominated Husam for the deputy presidency, said the party’s central leadership could still take action against Daud.

“Ustaz Hadi only said there is no money politics in PAS, but I leave it to them whether or not to take action against Ustaz Daud, because the damage is done,” Fatah told The Malaysian Insider.

“People are using the allegation to show that there is no difference between PAS and Umno,” he added.

Mereka-mereka ini tidak serik bermain dengan media massa, sama ada internet atau tidak. Mereka jenis suka baling batu sembunyi tangan.

Kalau Husam yang cakap sendiri dia tidak mahu bertanding, tidak mengapa. Tetapi kalau ada pihak yang create cerita kata Husam tak mahu bertanding, ini bermakna, pihak itu mahu membuat serangan psikologi.

Kalau betul-betul anak jantan, lawanlah secara jantan. Biar perwakilan tentukan, tak payah guna media untuk menjatuh atau merosakkan imej lawan.

Mana-mana pemimpin yang bertanding, seharus mempertaruhkan track recordnya untuk diadili oleh perwakilan, jangan sibuk nak pegang jawatan, tapi tiada track record.

Bagai saya mudah sahaja, apabila peraturan parti membenarkan pertandingan. Biarlah mereka yang dicalonkan bertanding. Jangan sesekali nak jadi macam Umno, nak halang orang, nak sabotaj orang.

Biar perwakilan tentukan dan nilaikan keupayaan seseorang pemimpin secara adil.
